Enrollment Guidelines

Follow the enrollment guidelines below for your smooth transition into your academic journey at Mapua MCL.
I. New Students' and Parents' Responsibility to Ensure the Authenticity of Submitted Documents

1. It is the responsibility of the student applicant and the parents to ensure the authenticity of the documents submitted.

 

2. Mapúa MCL reserves the right to:

 

a. Cancel the admission of the student if after enrollment, the documents submitted were proven to be fake, tampered, or manipulated.

b. Require resubmission of documents due to poor quality and readability.

c. Request for supporting documents of the ones submitted previously.

 

3. The submission of the original and hardcopies of the enrollment requirements will be on September 30, 2024.

 

4. As per Article V, Section C, Page 8 of the enclosure to the Department of Education Memorandum No. 3, Series of 2018; otherwise known as the Basic Education Enrollment Policy; all student-applicants will be considered on temporarily enrollment until such time that all original documents are submitted.

 

5. Parent/s or the duly authorized guardian of the student-applicant is required to submit an Affidavit of Undertaking for the student-applicant to be temporarily enrolled.

 

6. Failure of the student to submit the original documents may have the following consequences:

 

a. Non-enrollment in the DepEd’s Learner Information System (LIS) for Senior High School.

b. Non-inclusion to the terminal enrollment report to be submitted to CHED for College.

c. Future problems in the processing of Special Order for graduation.

II. Senior High School Voucher, Entrance Scholarships, and Promotional Discounts

1. Senior High School Voucher refers to the subsidy given by the Government to Grade 10 students who are enrolling in private educational institutions for Grade 11.

 

2. Mapúa MCL has no control over the administration and availment of SHS Vouchers to new students. Application must be facilitated by the new students and/or parents through the online facility of the government’s Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), or in securing the necessary certification as a current ESC grantee from the Junior High School.

 

3. Eligibility for the voucher program is as follows:

    • Grade 10 completers from public schools are automatic beneficiaries.
    • Grade 10 completers from private schools that are part of the Education Service Contracting (ESC) program of DepEd are automatic beneficiaries. Inquire with your principal or registrar if your school is part of the ESC program.
    • Students who are not automatic beneficiaries of the voucher program need to process the application themselves through the Private Education Assistance Committee website.

4. Entrance Scholarships are given to enrolled students who performed excellently in the Diagnostic Examination to be administered by Mapúa MCL. Passers may qualify for any of the following:

    • E.T. Yuchengco Institutional Scholarship
    • Mapúa MCL Wizards Scholarship

5. Sibling Discount is given to students with siblings who are also enrolled at Mapúa MCL.

 

6. Promotional Discounts refers to the incentives given to Mapúa MCL Senior High School graduates, and dependents of the employees of the Yuchengco Group of Companies, Ayala Corporation, and other organizations with existing agreement with Mapúa MCL on granting discounts.

III. Availment of Scholarships, Discounts, and Incentives

1. Only applicants with confirmed application are eligible to apply for scholarship.​

 

2. If the student qualifies for the scholarship, the value/amount of the scholarship:

 

a. May be deducted from the current balance of the student.

b. May be refunded as requested by the student and parent/s.

c. May be carried over to the next term/semester.

 

3. Availment of the following scholarship grants and discounts may be applied upon enrollment provided that all required supporting documents are submitted:

 

a. Sibling Discount – birth certificate of the siblings; and proof that the elder sibling is already enrolled.

b. YGC and Ayala Promotional Discount – application form and waiver with certification from the HR Head; scanned copy of company ID of the parent who is employed at YGC/Ayala.

  1. Original Grade 10 Report Card – Must be duly signed by the adviser and/ or principal with “Eligibility to Transfer to Grade 11” remark. If there are alterations/ erasures, it must be countersigned by the adviser/ principal.
  2. Original Good Moral Certificate – Must be issued by the school Guidance Counsellor and/ or Registrar’s Office.
  3. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate – Original copy must be presented for verification purposes only. In the absence of PSA Birth Certificate, updated passport may be temporarily presented.
  4. Photocopy of Valid I.D of Parents w/ 3 specimen signatures – Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, UMID, SSS, PhilHealth, Voter’s ID, PRC ID, Senior Citizen ID, OFW ID.
  5. 1 pc. 1.5 x 1.5 ID Picture with white background

College

Graduate Program

After settling the Admissions Fee, Graduate program applicants may now submit the following initial requirements via email before proceeding with the enrollment:

  • Scanned Copy of College Diploma/ Transcript of Records
  • Scanned Copy of Government IDs
  • Mapúa MCL Enrollment Forms

  • Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate – Original copy must be presented for verification purposes only. In the absence of PSA Birth Certificate, updated passport may be temporarily presented.
  • Transcript of Records or Copy of Grades – Must be issued by the applicant’s former college or university.
  • Original Good Moral Certificate
  • Government Issued ID of Parents – Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, UMID, SSS, PhilHealth, Voter’s ID, PRC ID, Senior Citizen ID, OFW ID.
  • Certificate of Competency (for active seafarers)
  • Letter of Recommendation– Must be addressed to: Maribel Songsong, Vice-President for Academic Affairs

Transferee Requirements

Senior High School

  1. Complete Grade 11 Report Card – Must be duly signed by the adviser and/ or principal with “Eligibility to Transfer to Grade 12” remark. If there are alterations/ erasures, it must be countersigned by the adviser/ principal.
  2. Good Moral Certificate – Must be issued by the school Guidance Counsellor and/ or Registrar’s Office.
  3. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate – Original copy must be presented for verification purposes only. In the absence of PSA Birth Certificate, updated passport may be temporarily presented.
  4. Plan of Study – available upon enrollment.
  5. Course Description – Must be issued by the Registrar’s Office. See here for sample.
  6. Photocopy of Valid I.D of Parents w/ 3 specimen signatures – Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, UMID, SSS, PhilHealth, Voter’s ID, PRC ID, Senior Citizen ID, OFW ID.

College

  1. Transcript of Records or Copy of Grades/ Grade Certification – Must be issued by the transfer applicant’s former college or university.
  2. Course Description – Must be issued by the Registrar’s Office. See here for sample.
  3. Transfer Credential/ Honorable Dismissal – Must be issued and signed by the Registrar’s Office.
  4. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate – Original copy must be presented for verification purposes only. In the absence of PSA Birth Certificate, updated passport may be temporarily presented.
  5. Duly accomplished MapúaMCL Crediting Form – May be obtained by sending a request email to [email protected]
  6. Good Moral Certificate – Must be issued by the school Guidance Counsellor and/ or Registrar’s Office.
  7. Photocopy of Valid I.D of Parents w/ 3 specimen signatures – Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, UMID, SSS, PhilHealth, Voter’s ID, PRC ID, Senior Citizen ID, OFW ID.

International Student/Applicant Requirements

  1. Alien Certificate of Registration

  4. Authenticated Scholastic Records – Must be translated into English and numerical equivalence must be presented if grades are in alphanumeric format.
  5. Good Conduct Certificate – Must be translated into English if in another language.
  6. Course Description – Must be translated into English if in another language.
  7. Photocopy of Valid Passport
  8. Special Study Permit/ Student Visa – For international applicants below 18 years old; Student Visa for applicants 18 years old and above.
