Frequently Asked Questions for New Students
If you missed the on-site orientation, you may access the New Student Orientation Course via Blackboard Learn (BBL). To proceed with your New Student Clearance signing form the Student Affairs Office (SAO), you are required to comply with all of the course requirements uploaded via the New Student Orientation Course in BBL.
To access your Mapúa MCL Live account (e.g. [email protected]):
- Go to https://www.office.com.
- Log in using the credentials provided to you via email. Click here for the video tutorial for login procedures
- To reset your password online, visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/ and follow the instructions here.
- To set up or reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), read the instructions here.
To access your Blackboard Learn Ultra account:
- Go to https://mcl.blackboard.com/
- Click here for the video tutorial about login procedures and password changes.
Note: Please make sure to check your BBL courses for any possible announcements from your teachers or professors.
To access Canvas:
- Go to https://mapua.instructure.com/
- Click forgot password in the login interface and follow the instructions in the pop-up window.
- Check your email in MS Outlook using your MCL Live account (e.g. [email protected]) and wait for the notification about your new login credentials in Canvas.
Please note that your access to BBL and Canvas will depend on your official enrollment status. Once your enrollment status is confirmed, your BBL Ultra/Canvas will be automatically activated.

It’s crucial for accessing the Mapúa MCL’s digital system, providing tools for document creation and collaboration. Its components include applications for word processing, spreadsheet creation, presentation design, and communication tools like Outlook for emails and MS Teams for collaboration.
