Tracks Offered

Academic Track

Choosing the academic track appeals to those who are looking forward to a college education. The academic track in Senior High School will help students prepare for the specialized subjects of the college courses they will take in the future. Under this track are the three [3] academic strands being offered:

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education requires an integrated, interdisciplinary learning approach that provides hands-on and relevant learning experiences for students. Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna, offers two different disciplines: STEM-Science and STEM-Mathematics.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education requires an integrated, interdisciplinary learning approach that provides hands-on and relevant learning experiences for students. Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna offers two different disciplines: STEM-Science and STEM-Mathematics.

Strand Description

This strand applies the complex mathematical and scientific theories and concepts in learning that will serve as a foundation for college courses.

The STEM education is designed for students who desire to pursue college degrees centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; and their associated practices.

It has specialized subjects that include General Chemistry 1 and 2, General Biology 1 and 2, General Physics 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, and Basic Calculus.

Strand Description

The Accountancy, Business and Management  [ABM] education introduces the basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations, and other functional areas of businesses. It focuses on practical skills and application, as well as problem-solving.

The ABM strand is designed to prepare students who are inclined to take college degrees related to business, accounting, and management programs.

It has specialized subjects that include Business Enterprise Simulation, Business Marketing, Business Ethics, and Social Responsibility, Applied Economics, Business Finance, Fundamentals of Accounting, Business and Management 1 and 2, Organization and Management, and Business Math.

Designed for those pursuing their passion and appreciation of arts and culture, human behavior, and societal changes.

Strand Description

The Humanities and Social Sciences [HUMSS]  education focuses on developing creativity, logical reasoning, and effective communicative skills. This strand is designed for those pursuing their passion and appreciation of arts and culture, human behavior, and societal changes.

Students can engage in college degrees related to liberal arts, education, communication, and other social science-related courses.

It has specialized subjects that include Community Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship; Creative Non-fiction; Creative Writing; Disciplines and Ideas in the Social Sciences; Disciplines and Ideas in the Applied Social Sciences; Introduction to World Religions and Belief Systems; Philippine Politics and Governance; and Trends, Networks, and Critical Thinking in the 21st Century.

At Mapúa MCL, the Mapúa MCL FLUX learning experience is delivered both in person and online at the same time. Students can then choose for each and every class meeting whether  face-to-face, synchronous,  or fully asynchronous online. This model promotes flexibility allowing students to experience quality teaching and learning.
