Regular Mapúa MCL Entrance Scholarships

Scholarship Pre-Selection Eligibility Requirements:

Applicant for admission must be a Grade 12 student who has:

    • Achieved a rating of at least 80% in the Mapúa MCL Admission Placement Assessment (Diagnostic Test) for AY 2026-2027.
    • Taken the Diagnostic Test on or before May 9, 2026

Selection Criteria:

Applicants who have satisfied the Scholarship Pre-Selection Eligibility Requirements will be ranked based on the following:

    • Diagnostic Test Results – 80%
    • Grade 9 General Weighted Average – 20%

Scholarship Benefits:

Admission applicants who ranked Nos. 1 – 5 in the Mapúa MCL Admission Placement Assessment and the top 5 Mapúa MCL SHS graduates will be qualified for the Enrique T. Yuchengco Institutional Scholarship Program (ETYISP) with the following scholarship benefits:

    • 100% Free Tuition, Laboratory/Field/Design (LFD) Fees, and Miscellaneous Fees
    • Php 2,000 worth of Blue and Silver Book Store merchandise per term

Scholarship Benefit Retention requirements:

    • Academic Achievement – must be a Dean’s Lister during the previous term.
    • Student Discipline – no adverse student discipline record.

Scholarship Application Requirements:

Applicant must be a Grade 12 student who has:

The Rank No. 26 – 45 applicants will be offered the Mapúa MCL Wizards Entrance Scholarship (25%) with the following scholarship benefits:

    • 25% Tuition and Laboratory/ Field/ Design (LFD) Fees Discount

NOTE: Both variants of the Mapúa MCL Wizards Entrance Scholarship may be availed only during 1T A.Y 2025-2026, subject to student discipline retention requirement of no adverse student discipline record.

Scholarship Application Requirements:

None

Selection Criteria:

Students who automatically qualify for this scholarship are incoming freshmen students who belong to the top 5% of Mapúa MCL-SHS most recent graduating class academic honorees list.

Scholarship Benefits:

The top half of the qualifiers will be offered the Mapúa DNA of Excellence Scholarship (50%) with the following scholarship benefits:

    • 50% Tuition and Laboratory/ Field/ Design (LFD) Fees Discount

The bottom half of the qualifiers will be offered the Mapúa DNA of Excellence Scholarship (25%) with the following scholarship benefits:

    • 25% Tuition and Laboratory/ Field/ Design (LFD) Fees Discount

Both variants of the Mapúa DNA of Excellence Scholarship may be availed only during 1T A.Y. 2026-2027, subject to student discipline retention requirement of no adverse student discipline record.

Scholarship Benefit Retention Requirement:

    • Student Discipline – no adverse student discipline record.

Scholarship Application Requirements:

Applicant must be a Grade 12 student at any DepEd­ recognized public science high school, and must have:

    • Obtained a rating of at least 80% in the Mapúa MCL Admission Placement Assessment (Diagnostic Test) for A.Y. 2026-2027. Applicant must have taken the Diagnostic Test on or before May 9, 2026.
    • Achieved Academic honors – at least 90% General Weighted Average {GWA) upon Senior High School graduation.
    • Submitted the following to the Student Affairs Office – Center for Scholarship and Financial Assistance (SAO-CSFA) on or before May 23, 2026:
      • Application Form for Scholarship
      • Certification of Grade 12 General Weighted Average signed by the School Principal or Registrar.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants who have satisfied the scholarship application requirements will be ranked based on the following:

    • Diagnostic Test Results – 80%
    • Grade 12 General Weighted Average – 20%

Scholarship Benefits:

The Rank No. 1- 10 applicants will be offered the Mapúa MCL Science High School Scholarship Program with the following scholarship benefits:

    • 100% Free Tuition, Laboratory/Field/Design (LFD) Fees, and Miscellaneous Fees.

May be availed every term only during the curriculum years of the student’s chosen academic program, provided he/she:

    • Academic Achievement – Achieves a Term Weighted Average (TWA) of at least 1.50 in the preceding term for the same academic program. Shifting of academic program is not allowed.
    • Student Discipline Record – Remains to have no adverse student discipline record.

Scholarship Benefit Retention Requirements:

The scholarship may be availed every term only during the curriculum years of the chosen academic program, provided he/she:

    • Achieves a Term Weighted Average (TWA) of at least 1.50 in the preceding term.
    • Remains to have no adverse student discipline record.

Other Mapúa MCL College Scholarships

Mapúa MCL offers 25% discount on tuition and L/F/D fees and an advanced musical training program focused on Choral Arts for Academic Year 2026-2027. This opportunity is applicable to incoming 1st Year College, transferees from other schools, and currently enrolled students.

Scholarship Qualifications:

  • Experience in singing in a choir (Preferred but not required)
  • Able to read choral music sheets
  • Knowledgeable in music theory and concepts

Screening Process:

  • Talent Audition
  • Interview

Recipients of this scholarship are incoming freshman and current college students qualified and selected for their potential to bring prestige, honor, and glory to Mapúa MCL as sports ambassadors and as role models of excellence and virtue through the following sports: basketball, football, baseball, and volleyball for males, and volleyball for females.

Benefits:

  • 25%-100% tuition and L/F/D fees discounts for the First Term.
  • Free sports uniform, transportation, and meal allowance during tournament games.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming college, transferee, or continuing student selected through competitive tryouts.

Initial Requirements:

APPLICANT MUST:

  • Undergo scheduled try-out in March-April 2026 or during term breaks for the different Mapúa MCL sports and athletic teams.

Continuity Requirements:

  • Continuing students must have enrolled at least a regular load in the previous regular term and passed at least 60% of all enrolled courses total no. of units.

Recipients of this scholarship are Mapúa MCL college students who are Top Spot Dean’s Listers, i.e., those who achieve the top spot/s of each year level in the previous regular term of their academic program in accordance with our SPGs on Dean’s List and President’s List effective AY 2022-2023.

Benefits:

  • 50%-100% tuition and L/F/D fees discounts for a regular term.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a top spot Dean’s Lister for the academic program year level during the previous regular term.

Initial Requirements:

  • List of top spot Dean’s Listers for the academic program year level during the previous regular term as certified by the Student Affairs Director and approved by the Executive Vice President, SVP for Finance, and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Continuity Requirements:

  • Must be in the list of top spot Dean’s Listers for the academic program year level during the previous regular term as certified by the Student Affairs Director and approved by the Executive Vice President.
  • Must have no student discipline record for any major offense.

This scholarship aims to support freshmen at Mapúa MCL who show a passion for service and leadership in community engagement.

Benefits:

  • Recipients will receive a 50% discount on tuition fees.

Eligibility:

  • An incoming freshman enrolled in an NSTP course.
  • An academic honoree from your senior high school.
  • Someone who may face financial challenges.
  • Free of any failing grades or disciplinary issues.
  • Is willing to participate in community engagement activities and take an active role in UPLIFT, the student organization arm of the Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement (CSCE).

Application Deadline and Requirements:

  • August 22, 2026: Deadline to submit the Scholarship Application Form. You can get this form from the Student Affairs’ (SAO) Office or the CSCE Office.
  • August 29, 2026: Deadline to submit all additional requirements. You will be emailed instructions on where to submit these documents:
    • Certification of Graduation with Honors: Issued by your Senior High School Principal.
    • Proof of Family Income: The latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of both parents. If a parent does not file an ITR, a certificate of non-filing from the BIR is required. Combined Annual Income of parents must not exceed 800,000 pesos.
    • Short Essay: A 300-400 word essay titled “Our Family Standard of Living for the Past Three Years” that honestly explains your financial need.
    • Current Condition of Home Residence: A PowerPoint presentation with at least 10 photos of your home, inside and out.

How to Apply:

  1. Pick up a scholarship application form from the Student Affairs’ Office (SAO) or the Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement (CSCE) Office.
  2. You will receive an email with instructions on where to submit your additional requirements.
  3. A selection committee will evaluate all submissions.

This scholarship aims to expand inclusive access to quality higher education for students from indigent families where no member of the immediate household has earned a college degree. It recognizes that for many Filipino families, the opportunity to complete tertiary education remains constrained by financial limitations and limited generational access to academic pathways.

Benefits:

The Scholarship Program provides comprehensive support, including:

    1. Full coverage of tuition fees
    2. Miscellaneous fees
    3. Laboratory fees

Should there be sponsoring organizations or partner companies, cost of living allowance may be provided directly to the student beneficiaries.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Grantee:

The following are the expectations for the student-grantee to be able to maintain the scholarship benefit:

    1. Full-time student status, which means enrolling in a full academic load based on the approved program curriculum.
    2. Must have no other engagement such as work, missionary activity, etc.
      50 grade or better in all courses enrolled for every term, without any Continuing or Incomplete Grades.
    3. Completion of the program within its programmed duration.
    4. Good student disciplinary record as evidenced by no sanction imposed by the School (Mapúa MCL); non-involvement in any legal proceeding or criminal activity in the local community/ barangay or local government unit; and compliance with the house rules to be implemented to the scholars.
    5. Compliance with all documentary requirements, such as end-of-term grade reports, and the like.
    6. Rendering of student assistantship in Mapúa MCL offices as part of employability and personality development program.
    7. Other terms and conditions that a sponsoring organization/ partner company (if any) that will be executed in a separate scholarship contract.

Admission and Enrollment Requirements:

The following are expected to be completed by the student-grantee no later than February 2, 2024:

a. Complete Admission requirements set by Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna, such as:

    • Grade 10 (for Senior High School) / Grade 12 (for College applicants)
    • PSA Birth Certificate
    • Two (2) pieces 1.5 x 1.5 recent identical ID pictures with plain background
    • Application Fee of PHP 400.00.
    • Complete set of requirements for transferees (e.g. transcript of records, good moral certification and transfer credentials from the previous school)

b. Medical examination (from any DOH-registered hospital or clinic)

Supporting Documents for Scholarship Application and Availment:

    • Certification of Good Moral Character / Recommendation from the Barangay Chairman
    • Certification of Good Moral Character / Recommendation from the City Mayor
    • Certificate of Indigency from the local Social Welfare and Development Agency
    • Affidavit / Attestation of the parents that they have not completed any formal post-secondary degree, and that the grantee is a first-generation college student, or if ever he/she graduates, he/she will be the first degree holder in the family.
    • Location Map or Sketch of the residence from the nearest landmark.
    • Result of background investigation (i.e. conducted by Mapúa MCL or any appointed representative, and discussed/ confirmed by the applicant)
    • Other supporting documents that may be required upon application and enrollment (Example: Income Tax Return of the Parent/s for the Year 2025 or Certificate of Non-Filing of ITR if the parent has exemptions from filing).

Other Terms and Conditions:

    1. Students and Parents are required to sign the scholarship guidelines and contract.
    2. By signing, parents are signifying their commitment to being responsible for monitoring the activities of the student and ensuring the completion of the student’s academic program.
    3. Any misrepresentation of the applicants or their parents will be a valid ground for the termination of scholarship benefits, and all other privileges related to it.
    4. The school reserves the right to recover all tuition fees that are waived and withholding of school credentials if misrepresentation is proven.
    5. All other relevant policies on scholarships of Mapúa MCL that are not contrary to the above-mentioned terms are deemed applicable.

Mapúa MCL College Discount Offerings

Discount Application Requirements:

Applicant must be a new student coming from any DepEd recognized high school, and must have:

    • From incoming undergraduate (UG) coming from non-Mapúa MCL senior high school – enrolled for one of the 250 slots offered during the enrollment validity period (TBA) and paid an initial 20% down payment.
    • From incoming undergraduate (UG) coming from Mapúa MCL senior high school – enrolled for one of the 400 UG slots offered during the enrollment validity period (TBA) and paid an initial 20% down payment.

NOTE: It will be the Accounting Office that will determine the final names of students who will be given the Early Bird Discount for scholarship validation.

Discount Benefit:

One-time Php 5,000 across the board discount on all school fees only during the initial semester (for SHS) or term (for UG) of enrollment.

Special Applicability:

The Early Bird Discount will be applicable in combination with other scholarships and discounts.

Discount Application Requirements:

Applicant must be a new student coming from any DepEd recognized senior high school, and son/daughter of a
Mapúa school graduate.

The following are the requirements for submission to the CSFA c/o the assigned scholarship validator:

    • Accomplished Application Form for Alumni Discount
    • Mapúa Alumni ID, Transcript of Record, or Diploma. (photocopy only)
    • PSA Birth certificate of the student. (photocopy only)

NOTE: Original copies of documents must be presented for verification.

Discount Benefit:

For incoming undergraduate (UG) – One time 20% discount on tuition fees during the first term only.

Discount Application Requirements:

Applicant may be a new or continuing student and must be a sibling of a tenured or regular employee of Mapúa MCL.

The following are the requirements for submission to the CSFA c/o the assigned scholarship validator:

      • PSA Birth Certificates of both the employee and the student (photocopy only).
      • Accomplished Application Form for Mapúa MCL Employee Sibling Discount.

Discount Benefit:

    • For undergraduate students – 25% discount on tuition fees and L/F/D during the applied term.

Discount Application Requirements:

Applicant must be a candidate for graduation or graduate Mapúa MCL Senior High School (SHS), or a new student athlete. The applicant must either be:

    • For Mapúa MCL-SHS Graduates – included in the list of candidates for graduation or a graduate of Mapúa MCL-SHS for S.Y. 2025-2026.
    • For New Student Athletes – included in the list of new student athletes signed as recommended by the designated coach, endorsed by the Athletics and Physical Education Office {APEO) Director, and approved by the Dean of the College of Arts and Science.

NOTE: The lists must be provided by the Registrar’s Office (for Mapúa MCL-SHS Graduates) and the APEO Director (for New Student Athletes).

Benefits:

    • For Mapúa MCL-SHS Graduates – waived application fee. They also no longer need to take the admission diagnostic test unless they seek to qualify for any of the Regular Mapúa MCL Entrance Scholarships.
    • For New Student Athletes – waived application fee.

The Mapúa MCL Loyalty Discount is for incoming college freshman students who belong to the Mapúa MCL Senior High School (SHS) latest Grade 12 graduating class

BENEFITS:

  • 10% tuition fee discount for the 1st Term only.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Incoming Freshman student who belong to the Mapúa MCL-SHS most recent Grade 12 graduation batch.

INITIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Included in the list of Mapúa MCL-SHS most recent Grade 12 graduation batch certified by the Mapúa MCL-SHS Principal.

CONTINUITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • None. Discount is applicable only during the 1st Term of the student’s Freshman year.
  • May qualify for Academic Scholarship in the next regular terms.

BENEFITS:

  • 21% – 36% Tuition Fee Discount (depending on the Mapúa MCL-ASU Program being taken)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Mapúa MCL-ASU students.

INITIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Enrollment in a Mapúa MCL-ASU program.

CONTINUITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Continuation in the Mapúa MCL-ASU program.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming Freshman, transferee, or continuing student whose parent has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of a YGC member company included in the program.

Requirements:

FIRST TIME APPLICANT:

    • PSA birth certificate of student
    • Certificate of Employment
    • Duly accomplished Application Form for YGC Promotional Discount; subject to verification with YGC.

REPEAT APPLICANT:

    • Duly accomplished Application Form for YGC Promotional Discount; subject to verification with YGC.

Continuity Requirements:

  • Student’s parent must be a regular employee of YGC member company included in the program at the time of enrollment.

Benefits:

  • 25% tuition and L/F/D discounts renewable every semester.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming Freshman, transferee, or continuing student whose parent has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of a Ayala member company included in the program.

Initial Requirements:

FIRST TIME APPLICANT:

    • PSA birth certificate of student
    • Certificate of Employment
    • Duly accomplished Application Form for Ayala Promotional Discount; subject to verification with Ayala.

REPEAT APPLICANT:

    • Duly accomplished Application Form for Ayala Promotional Discount; subject to verification with Ayala.

Continuity Requirements:

  • Student’s parent must continue to be a regular employee of Ayala member company included in the program at the time of enrollment.

To qualify for the Mapúa MCL Study Aid, a student must have a parent who has been verified and certified to be currently a regular employee of Mapúa MCL.

Benefits:

  • 50% tuition and L/F/D discounts renewable every term.

Qualifications:

Incoming Freshman, transferee, or continuing student whose parent has been verified and certified to be the currently a regular employee of Mapúa MCL.

Requirements:

FIRST TIME APPLICANT:

    • PSA birth certificate of student
    • Duly accomplished Application Form for Mapúa MCL Study Aid; subject to verification with HRMO.

REPEAT APPLICANT:

    • Duly accomplished Application Form for Mapúa MCL Study Aid; subject to verification with HRMO.

Continuity Requirements:

  • Student’s parent must continue to be a regular employee of Mapúa MCL.

To qualify for the Sibling Discount, a Mapúa MCL College student must be verified to be a younger sibling of another student currently enrolled at Mapúa MCL.

Benefits:

  • First sibling – 10% tuition fee discount for the term.
  • Second sibling – 25% tuition fee discount for the term.
  • Third sibling – 40% tuition fee discount for the term.

Qualifications:

  • Incoming Freshman, transferee, or continuing student verified to be a younger sibling of another student currently enrolled at Mapúa MCL.

Requirements:

FIRST TIME APPLICANT:

    • PSA birth certificate of both siblings.
    • Duly accomplished Sibling Discount Application Form.
    • Required proof of enrollment (e.g. Official Receipt of payment of school fees, Certificate of Matriculation).

REPEAT APPLICANT:

    • Same as above, except for the PSA birth certificate of both siblings.

Continuity Requirements:

  • Student must continue to have an older sibling enrolled during the term.

NOTE:Applications for validation of scholarships and discounts are allowed only up to the end of the late enrollment or revision of the course load period for the applicable term/school year.
