B.S. Psychology students and International Guest Lecturer participate in community engagement for Children with Special Needs
As part of the Faculty Mobility Program between Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) and Universitas Esa Unggul (UEU), Indonesia, International Guest Lecturer Dr. Maharsi Anindyajati participated in a meaningful community engagement organized by B.S. Psychology students titled “Spectrum of Learning: Creating Inclusive Spaces for All Children” on July 11, 2025, at Pulo National High School.
The activity focused on advocating for inclusive education and raising awareness for children with special needs, emphasizing the importance of creating safe, supportive, and accessible learning spaces. A key part of the engagement involved insightful discussions with teachers from the Special Needs Education (SNED) Department, centering on the current SNED curriculum, teaching strategies, and the development of inclusive learning environments.
On July 12, 2025, Dr. Anindyajati, together with the B.S. Psychology students from Mapúa MCL, participated in a cultural immersion experience, visiting iconic Filipino landmarks including Intramuros, the National Museum, and Luneta Park. The activity fostered cross-cultural exchange and a deeper appreciation of Filipino heritage.
These initiatives reinforce the commitment of Mapúa MCL to global collaboration and inclusive development, in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
