PTC-ACBET awards Mapúa MCL four-year accreditation for BS CHE, BS CPE, BS ECE, and BS ME

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) received a four-year accreditation, covering A.Y. 2025–2026 to 2028–2029, from the Philippine Technological Council Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology (PTC-ACBET) for its Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs on May 26, 2026.
It also reinforces the programs’ international recognition under the Washington Accord, reflecting Mapúa MCL’s commitment to delivering globally aligned and outcomes-based engineering education.
The accreditation certificates were presented by PTC President Engr. Federico Monsada and ACBET Member Engr. Robin Rabin to the respective program chairs: Engr. Conrado Monterola, Program Coordinator for BS Chemical Engineering; Engr. Maribelle Nicerio, Program Chair for BS Computer Engineering; Engr. Mae Garcillanosa, Program Chair for BS Electronics Engineering; and Engr. Alexander Hamilton Atienza, Program Chair for BS Mechanical Engineering.
The day’s events featured the interim visit opening meeting for the Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering programs. This evaluation process was spearheaded by Team Chair Dr. Philip Ermita and Program Interim Evaluator Dr. Israel Baguhin. Following the opening meeting, the team conducted a productive two-day interim visit that successfully concluded on May 27, 2026.
This milestone reinforces Mapúa MCL’s commitment to delivering world-class engineering education and developing globally competitive graduates who are ready to meet the evolving demands of the profession.
