Mapúa MCL forms new Partnership with Makarius Smart Learning

On May 5, 2025, Mapúa MCL strengthened its commitment to innovation in education through the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Makarius Smart Learning, marking a key milestone in its AI initiative for teaching and learning.  

Representing Mapúa MCL were Engr. Anthony Hilmer S. Medrano, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Atty. Maria Eloisa R. Gan, Senior Vice President for Admin and Legal; Engr. Maribel G. Songsong, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Engr. Rolando V. Bitor, Assistant Vice President for the Institute for Global Sustainability and AI Integration Office; Prof. James Ronald O. Mesina, Assistant Vice President for External Relations and Global Linkages; and Ms. Pearl Stephanie Ulep, Director for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement.  Makarius Smart Learning was represented by Mr. John Andrew Mañacop, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms. Jastine Marasigan, Chief Human Resources Officer.  

Both institutions reinforce a shared commitment to advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By driving forward the integration of AI technologies in education, Mapúa MCL aims to enhance student outcomes by fostering innovation and collaboration that will benefit its students and graduates.
