Mapúa MCL celebrates Global Recognition at IZN Highlights

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) proudly celebrates its global recognition, achieved through successful collaborations with its esteemed stakeholders, at the Internationalization (IZN) Highlights last February 3, 2025, at the Mapúa MCL Gymnasium. 

As part of the festivities for the 19th Foundation Week, IZN Highlights honors the achievements and internationalization milestones that have been made possible through the support and partnership of Mapúa MCL’s academic and industry partners. Present as the keynote speaker was Commission on Higher Education (CHED) IV-A CALABARZON Regional Director Dr. Rogelio Galera, while as the Guest of Honor was Cabuyao City Mayor Dennis Felipe Hain, who joined the Mapúa MCL President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Dodjie S. Maestrecampo in unveiling the IZN Marker and Manifesto. These celebrate the achievements of the institution that include its rating of 3 QS Stars by the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Rating System; ranking in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), and UI Greenmetrics Ranking; and its Belgian Maritime Inspectorate (BMI) Seal of Approval.    

As part of Mapúa MCL’s 19th Foundation Week, the event also recognized the successful collaborations with the institution’s academic and industry partners that led to these global recognitions and internationalization milestones.    The event was spearheaded by the Office for Strategic Partnerships & Global Engagement (OSPGE) in collaboration with the different teams and units of Mapúa MCL. 

This achievement is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
