Mapúa MCL attends the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna attended the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025 at Sunway Resort in Malaysia. This event is organized by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education and the Education Malaysia Global Services as part of the nation’s chairmanship of the ASEAN 2025.   

Alongside the forum, Mapúa MCL inked partnerships with universities in the ASEAN region in a Memorandum of Understanding Signing and Exchange Ceremony which included Raffles University, represented by President Associate Professor Greg Pritchard; Sunway University, represented by Provost Professor Abhimanyu Veerakumarasivan; and the Institute of Business East Timor, represented by Mr. Natalino Barreto Ximenes, Director for Special Projects. Witnessing the exchange as Mapúa MCL representative is Ms. Pearl Stephanie Ulep, Director of the Office for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement.     

Day 2’s events provided a platform for international collaboration with universities in the ASEAN region in a Memorandum of Understanding Signing and Exchange Ceremony which included Sheffield Education Group Australia and International Academy of Business and Technology, represented by Mr. Daljeet Mongga, Group Chief Executive Officer and Dr. Farhad Suleimani; Management Science University, represented by ChM. Eva Tan Lee Yin, Manager, Global Affairs; and Siam University, represented by Dr. Yhing Sawheny, Director of International Affairs. Mapúa MCL was represented by Ms. Pearl Stephanie Ulep, Director of the Office for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement. 

The ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025 will run until February 27 with 85 universities from the ASEAN, 12 host universities from Malaysia, and more than 10,000 expected participants from different academic institutions. 

This activity was in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
