Mapúa-Laguna Institute of Aviation host first-ever Bootcamp

Last June 28, 2025, the Mapúa-Laguna Institute of Aviation (MIA) hosted its first-ever bootcamp for aspiring first-year aviation students at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna.  Led by the MIA Students and Faculty, the attendees were able to experience the Virtual Reality, Flight Simulator, and explore the functions of the Beechcraft Sierra as part of the specialized hands-on workshops, giving them a taste of the student experience.   

The bootcamp also included a tour of the facilities and an engaging talk led by MIA College Dean, Capt. Michael John P. Reyes, and former Executive Vice President of Mapúa University, Ar. Oscar B. Mapúa Jr.   

This initiative was held in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
