Inspiring Excellence: ETYCB celebrates newly Certified Marketing Management Specialist

The E.T. Yuchengco College of Business (ETYCB) at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) celebrates another proud milestone in academic excellence and student determination. The institution extends its grandest congratulations to Francis Vince Grafilo, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Marketing Management student, for Ranking 1st with 92.92% at the prestigious Certified Marketing Management Specialist (CMMS) assessment examination administered by the Center for Professional Advancement and Continuing Education (CPACE).
The CMMS credential serves as a vital professional bridge, validating a student’s capacity to apply classroom marketing theories to complex, real-world industry demands.
Reflecting on this rewarding milestone, Francis Vince shares deeply moving insights on what it truly takes to go the extra mile before graduation. A major motivating factor for him was his family, particularly his father, who has been working hard abroad to support his education. Francis Vince wanted to make all of his father’s sacrifices worth it and show him that his hard work paid off in making him determined and ready to challenge himself.
“I took the review seriously. I created sample questions to test active thinking and ensure true understanding, focusing on the core explanations behind concepts rather than merely memorizing facts,” Francis Vince explained regarding his review strategy. He also strategically used AI tools to summarize various modules, concentrating heavily on identifying the most critical key ideas, definitions, and strategies.
For Francis Vince, “It is not just about the certificate—it is a matter of discipline, preparation, and gratitude. It takes hard work and persistence to make something truly meaningful happen.”
