Global Conversations at ICIT 2025 BS Accounting Information System Students Share Insights from Their International Presentation.

Mapúa Malayan College Laguna’s (Mapúa MCL) B.S. Accounting Information System (AIS) students from the E.T. Yuchengco College of Business (ETYCB), Gian Paolo F. Samortin and Ashlee Ayelle K. Landicho, presented their research at the 8th International Conference on Innovation and Technopreneurship 2025 (ICIT 2025), hosted by INTI International University on September 11, 2025.

According to Samortin, “Participating in the 8th ICIT 2025 was such a new and exciting experience for me. Presenting our research before an international audience was nerve-racking at first, but it turned out to be truly fulfilling. I realized that even as students, the work we do can already create value and spark meaningful conversations.”

“The highlight of the 8th ICIT 2025 was the opportunity to learn from and connect with people from diverse places who shared their innovative ideas,” Landicho added. “Presenting our study was truly rewarding, as it demonstrated how small steps in research can contribute to larger conversations about digital transformation. The entire experience inspired me to work harder and strengthened my belief in what we, as young researchers, are capable of achieving.”

The research on AI Literacy and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Adoption Readiness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises challenged the students in many ways, but it also taught them patience, resilience, and the true value of teamwork. The lessons and skills they gained from the curriculum truly prepared them for this journey, giving them the confidence to share their work on a bigger stage.

With the guidance of Dr. Ellenita R. Red and the support of their batchmates during the data collection process, they realized that digital transformation is not just about technology, but rather it is, above all, about people being ready to embrace change. They have learned to embrace innovation and believe in their potential as future leaders.
