CCIS student earns 1st place at UM-AUN Summer Camp 2025
As part of its E.X.C.H.A.N.G.E. (Exchanging Culture, History, and New Global Experiences) Program, Shamelle Fhate Climaco from the College of Computer and Information Science (CCIS) represented Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL), an associate member of the ASEAN University Network (AUN), at the UM-AUN Summer Camp 2025 hosted by Universiti Malaya from August 24 to September 6, 2025.
The camp, themed “Empowering Youth & Innovating for a Sustainable Future: A Pathway to Net Zero,” engaged students in immersive projects, field-based explorations, and activities anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Shamelle’s dedication and active involvement throughout the camp earned her 1st place recognition, showcasing the talent and global readiness of Mapúa MCL students.
Her participation reflects the institution’s commitment to advancing SDG 4: Quality Education and fostering collaborations under SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
