Mapúa MCL Career Fair 2026 connects job seekers with over 50 companies

Nearly 900 job seekers, including graduating students and external participants, gathered at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) on September 11, 2026, for the Mapúa MCL Career Fair 2026.
Organized by the Office for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement (OSPGE) in celebration of the 59th ASEAN Founding Anniversary, the event brought together over 50 companies from various sectors and industries, providing participants with opportunities to explore career prospects and pathways to employability.
The Career Fair 2026 is one of the initiatives under the Pathways to Employability, a comprehensive program that integrates all measures ensuring the employability of Mapúa MCL graduates. The pathway begins with academic preparation and extracurricular activities that nurture leadership skills, extending to initiatives that will connect students with employers and industry partners.
“The Career Fair is a meeting place for job seekers and industry leaders who share our mission of transforming students into globally competitive professionals. It helps our industry partners with their manpower requirements by aligning their needs with the knowledge, skills and attitude that our students possess.”
“It supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education, SDG #8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG #17: Partnership for the Goals by providing a mechanism for graduating students to get familiar with our partner companies and the opportunities that they offer; and the recent innovations that support their operations,” shared Prof. James Ronald O. Mesina, Vice President for External Linkages, Internalization, and Transnational Education (ELITE).
Throughout the career fair, job seekers visited company booths to apply for various positions, learn about employment opportunities, and participate in interactive booth activities. The event also provided a venue for participants to connect with industry representatives and gain insights into potential career paths.
For graduating students and other participants, the career fair served as an opportunity to explore employment options and better understand the professional opportunities available to them.
“We are happy to have collaborated with 900+ job seekers, and 56 registered companies for this year’s Career Fair. Our post-event evaluation yielded positive feedback, with companies receiving more than 70 applications and some even hired our graduates on the spot,” shared Prof. Mesina
Through this initiative, Mapúa MCL continues to strengthen its commitment to developing globally competitive graduates by providing opportunities that bridge academic learning and professional development.
“We are strengthening our collaboration with industry partners by boosting their presence on campus, making our students aware of their organizations’ core business activities and career opportunities, and offering faculty immersion for our mentors.
We are developing several programs that will bring ‘employers onto the campus and into the classroom’ where industry leaders can interact with our learners and motivate them to hone both technical and soft skills that are important in their fields of endeavor.
“We are also strategically positioning Mapúa MCL to be an upskilling partner for several industry sectors as part of our extension services,” shared Prof. Mesina when asked what is next for Mapúa MCL’s Career Fair initiative.
The Mapúa MCL Career Fair 2026 supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through its efforts to promote employability and strengthen collaboration between the academic community and its industry partners.
