Mapúa MCL establishes partnership with Nippon Paint Coating Phils. Inc

Last October 23, 2025, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) reaffirmed its commitment to fostering strategic industry partnerships through a ceremonial signing with Nippon Paint Coating Phils. Inc, contributing to the growth and education of the Mapúa Institute of Technology at Laguna (MITL) and its students. 

Representing Mapúa MCL were Engr. Maribel G. Songsong, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. James Ronald O. Mesina, Vice President for External Linkages, Internationalization, and Transnational Education; Ms. Pearl Stephanie D. Ulep, Director for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement; Ar. Wilfredo G. Gacutan, Program Chair for BS Architecture; and Engr. Hermie M. Del Pilar, Program Chair for BS Civil Engineering. 

From Nippon Paint Coating Phils. Inc., attendees included Mr. Chen Lee Siong, General Manager; Ms. Rose Ann Tolentino, HR and Admin Manager; Ms. Donnalyne Alas, Project Sales Manager; and Engr. Rerom Falle, Specifications Supervisor. 

This partnership holds particular significance for MITL as it opens opportunities for collaborative projects, technical learning sessions, and hands-on exposure to sustainable building, enhancing students’ industry readiness and professional competence.  

The initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reinforcing Mapúa MCL’s pursuit of quality, globally competitive education through meaningful academic-industry linkages.
