CHS hosts Global Signature Course on Naegleria fowleri

On July 3, 2025, a Global Signature Course on the parasitic protozoan Naegleria fowleri, organized by Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna’s (Mapúa MCL) College of Health Sciences (CHS) took place at the Global Classroom, with student participants joining via Zoom.    

Made possible by Mapúa MCL’s collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU) for its programs under CHS, the seminar was led by distinguished speaker Dr. Kavitha Rejandran, a Senior Lecturer and Program Leader (ADPT Science) from Sunway University, who presented on the topic.   

This activity was held in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being.
