Mapúa MCL and STMicroelectronics Foundation seals partnership
Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) and STMicroelectronics Foundation formally sealed a partnership through a Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), marking the beginning of a collaboration focused on advancing digital education through a Coding Course initiative and the lease of STM32 starter kits.
Mapúa MCL was represented by Prof. James Ronald O. Mesina, Assistant Vice President for External Relations and Global Linkages; Ms. Pearl Stephanie D. Ulep, Director for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement; Dr. Hermie Articona, Director of the Research Promotion and Coordination Office; Engr. Jesuniño Aquino, Dean of the Mapúa Institute of Technology at Laguna; Engr. Maribelle Nicerio, Program Chair of the B.S. Computer Engineering Program; and Engr. Mae M. Garcillanosa, Program Coordinator of the B.S. Electronics Engineering Program.
Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics Foundation was represented by Ms. Janice Anne Recto, Employee and Industrial Relations Manager; Ms. Christine Moncayo, Human Resources Specialist; and Ms. Jeanjer Rieza.
This collaboration reinforces the institutions’ shared commitment to advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by equipping students with industry-relevant technical skills and fostering innovation through hands-on learning opportunities.
