Strengthening Ties for a Sustainable Future: ASEAN Anniversary Highlights Renewed Partnerships with Key Organizations

As part of the celebration of the 57th Founding Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna’s (Mapúa MCL) Office for External Relations and Global Linkages (OERGL), in collaboration with the Office for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagements (OSPGE), reaffirmed and strengthened its partnerships with several leading organizations. These renewed alliances underscore the institution’s commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17): Partnerships for the Goals.

In a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony, Prof. James Ronald Mesina, Assistant Vice President for External Relations and Global Linkages, and Ms. Pearl Stephanie Ulep, Director for Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagements, represented the institution alongside their industry counterparts. This event marked the formal renewal of partnerships with Wadhwani Foundation, Denso Philippines Corporation, Digital Halo, RD Aerospace, Monark Equipment Corporation, and SPIK (Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika). These partnerships not only strengthen ties with the private sector but also reinforce Mapúa MCL’s commitment to supporting SDG 17, which emphasizes the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration for sustainable growth.

The renewed partnerships signal a shared commitment to shaping a future where students, industries, and communities thrive together. Mapúa MCL, alongside its partners, will continue to explore new ways to integrate industry expertise with academic excellence, ensuring that the next generation of professionals is equipped to tackle global challenges.
