Last July 28 to 29, 2023, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) held its very first Mapúa MCL Fest, a two-day extravaganza that aimed to introduce prospective students and current applicants to the diverse college programs and vibrant student life at Mapúa MCL.
The Mapúa MCL Fest was thoughtfully crafted to provide visitors with an immersive experience and a glimpse of what it’s like to be part of the Mapúa MCL community. The event comprised three exciting events: the Mapúa MCL EXPO, the Mapúa MCL EduQuest, and the much-awaited Academic Year-Ender Concert.
On the first day of the Mapúa MCL Fest, the Mapúa MCL EXPO commenced, which displayed the achievements and strong points of each department. All college programs and Senior High School strands had their own exhibit, where they proudly presented their success stories, innovative projects, and distinguished alumni.
The Mapúa MCL EduQuest was held on the second day, with renowned TV host Bianca Gonzalez as one of the keynote speakers. She shared her personal journey and how her passion for communication led her to success. Professor Donn Enrique Moreno, the program chair of B.S. Business Administration, also delivered an empowering talk, emphasizing the importance of education and its role in molding future leaders in various industries.
The Mapúa MCL FEST would not be complete without an unforgettable Academic Year-Ender Concert. The campus came alive as our homegrown artists and famous local bands took the stage, thrilling the audience with their electrifying performances. K-Pop dance cover group Azatrix and bands FLU, Magnus Haven, and SUD delivered an incredible show that had everyone dancing and singing along.
The Year-Ender Concert was a fantastic way to end the two-day event, fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration among incoming and current students, faculty, and visitors.
As the Mapúa MCL Fest concluded, it left an indelible mark on all who attended. Prospective students gained valuable insights into their future academic journey, while current applicants were further inspired to embrace their chosen paths. The success of the Mapúa MCL FEST heralds the beginning of a new tradition, one that will undoubtedly continue to inspire and uplift the Mapúa MCL community for years to come.
