MUST showcased the rich history of the university and the various programs that they are offering for international students and global cooperation. With a university hospital, MUST was able to integrate a research center in their health care programs, something that was recognized by the government for excellence.

At the UM, the team toured around the gallery where the international office team gave a short briefing of the history of the university and the future directions for international cooperation. It was shared also that the influx of international students from mainland China has helped in the university’s improvement in the QS ranking under the internationalization criterion.

The Office for External Relations and Global Linkages is exploring the potential partnership with MUST and UM for faculty and student exchange programs, joint research, and short-term mobility programs. Assistant Vice President for External Relations and Global Linkages, Prof. James Ronald Mesina stressed the importance of alliances and partnerships in achieving the internationalization targets of Mapúa MCL. The ASEAN region is a good focus for mobility due to economic, social and cultural considerations. Students from these countries will not find it difficult to adjust and manage student life while participating in any collaborative engagement.
