MAPUA Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapua MCL) and the Business College of Athens (BCA) of Greece signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on March 21, 2023 at the Philippine Transmarine Carriers Inc. “The issue of education equality for women is as much about empowering women as it is about building the most capable economy possible for the Philippines, to ensure our collective progress as a nation,” Senior Vice President Zobel said.

Quality of education determines the future of a nation. Ayala’s aspiration to make education attainable for Filipinos goes back to more than a century ago, when a matriarch of the Zobel de Ayala family, Senior Vice President Mariana Zobel de Ayala paved the way for the establishment of a school for young women.

In the Philippines, U-Go, a program that provides grants for high-achieving, motivated Filipino women currently enrolled at state colleges and universities, partnered with Ayala Foundation to raise funds as well as identify deserving scholars. Ayala Foundation and U-Go announced earlier this year that the program raised over P40 million, which will be used to provide scholarships to the initial class of 100 and expand to at least 1,000 recipients in the medium term.

IPEOPLE, the publicly listed Yuchengco-Ayala education partnership, introduced a first of its kind offering that enabled Filipino students to immerse themselves in global educational experiences with top international universities and a top Philippine university in a highly cost-effective manner.

To help students expand their knowledge with education from overseas Mapua University partnered with Arizona State University for the ASU Cintana Alliance.

Mapua and the Arizona State University earlier partnered to offer educational assets and global learning opportunities for students taking business and health science programs.
