DESCRIPTION:In support of the government’s continuing efforts to prevent and deter illegal drug use among the youth\, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) remains committed to implementing drug education\, prevention programs\, and activities that uphold our shared vision of a drug-free campus. \nAs part of this commitment\, Mapúa MCL will conduct random drug testing in accordance with the following government policies and regulations: \n\nDepartment of Education (DepEd) Order No. 40\, s. 2017\nCommission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 18\, s. 2018\nDangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 6\, s. 2003\, as amended by DDB Regulation No. 3\, s. 2009\n\nThese regulations mandate the conduct of drug testing among students in secondary and tertiary education. The testing\, however\, shall be random\, and will be implemented with strict adherence to the following key principles: \n\nThe program is preventive and rehabilitative in nature.\nStudents’ personal privacy and dignity shall be respected at all times.\nTest results will be held in strict confidence and shall not be used as evidence in any criminal proceedings.\n\nAccordingly\, Mapúa MCL will conduct unannounced random drug testing throughout Academic Year 2025–2026. It will involve students from the Senior High School and College levels\, as well as selected employees\, in compliance with the aforementioned regulations. \nA Random Drug Testing Selection Committee\, headed by the Student Affairs Director and composed of representatives from the student body\, parent community\, teaching\, and non-teaching personnel\, shall be tasked with the random selection of individuals who will undergo testing during scheduled implementations. \nWe seek the continued cooperation and support of everyone in our school community as we uphold this important initiative. \nView on Facebook

SUMMARY:Modified Summer Campus Attire for 3rd Term\, AY 23-24
DESCRIPTION:With due consideration of the summer season\, there will be a temporary change in the campus dress code policy. Starting from April 3\, 2024\, to July 26\, 2024 (End of 3rd Term)\, all Mapúa MCL students are hereby allowed to wear decent short pants on campus. \nPlease note that this is the only exception to the dress code policy stated in the student handbook. All other rules and regulations regarding appropriate attire remain in effect.
