APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

Any applicant intending to study at MCL as a freshman may be admitted on the following basis:

• Performance in the Malayan Colleges Laguna Entrance Examination (MCLEE)
• Choice of program and quota set for a specific program
• Good Moral Character

To apply, a candidate must be one of the following:

1. A Grade 12 student;
2. A 4th year high school graduate from S.Y. 2015-2016 and prior who has never entered college/university;
3. Or a student who passed the Bureau of Alternative Learning System (BALS) or the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT).

Filing of application for S.Y. 2019-2020 will start on September 1, 2018.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

STEP 1: Submit the requirements to Admissions Office.

1. Duly Filled application form for Senior High School
2. Photocopy of Grade 12 School ID or report card or TOR
3. Two pieces 1.5” x 1.5” recent identical pictures with white background

STEP 2: Pay the application fee (PHP 400.00).

STEP 3: Present official receipt of payment to the Admissions Office and secure test permit and admissions kit.

STEP 4: Present the test permit to the proctor and take the MCL Entrance Examination (MCLEE) on the scheduled date. Examinees must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time for an orientation. All applicants must bring the Test Permit, # 2 pencil, scientific calculator and Student ID (or equivalent valid ID) on examination day.

STEP 5: Access the examination results at www.mcl.edu.ph. The Admissions Office will release the results of the examination after seven (7) working days.

If you cannot view the result, please contact the Admissions Office at (049) 832-4063 to 66. Kindly note that the Admissions Office will not release the examination results over the telephone.

STEP 6: MCLEE passers may visit the Admissions Office to settle the enrollment confirmation fee (PHP3,000) by March 30, 2019.

In case you miss the deadline of payments for the enrollment confirmation fee, you may proceed with your enrollment on the dates which will be announced in April 2019.

STEP 7: Prepare the requirements for enrollment.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

Applicants are advised to submit their requirements for admission at least three (3) days before their preferred date to take the MCL Entrance Exam (MCLEE).

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

We would like to remind the enrollee to prepare the list of requirements below. We have designated areas for the parents to stay while waiting for the enrollee as we encourage them to process their enrollment independently.

MCL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Original Grade 12 report card showing applicant’s eligibility for admission to college, duly signed by the High School Principal.

         Reminders:

            1.1 The principal/adviser must countersign the report card if it has erasures or alterations

            1.2 The applicant must submit a certificate of the school’s numerical equivalent if the report card contains alpha grades

            1.3 The applicant must submit an authenticated report card if he/she graduated from an international school

2. Recent certificate of Good Moral Character (issued year of completion) from the High School Principal with school seal
3. Photocopy of PSA birth certificate (original must be presented for verification)

            3.1 if the applicant is not a Filipino citizen, submit:

               3.1.1 Original and photocopy of passport with at least 6-month validity;

               3.1.2 Alien Certificate of Registration;

               3.1.3 Student visa or student study permit

            3.2 It the applicant has dual citizenship, submit

               3.2.1 Certificate of recognition as Filipino citizen or Philippine Passport;

               3.2.2 Authenticated Birth Certificate

4. Two pieces 1 ½ ” x 1 ½ ” recent identical pictures with white background and name at the back

GUIDELINES FOR ID PICTURE-CAPTURING

ID picture-capturing will be done during enrollment in MCL. These guidelines will be implemented in picture-capturing for the official MCL ID.

a. Eyeglasses must be removed.
b. Contact lenses may be worn, but contact lenses that change one’s true eye color must be removed.
c. Both ears should be visible.
d. Earrings must be removed.
e. Hair accessories must be removed.
f. Students must wear a collared shirt or blouse. If the student is wearing an un-collared shirt or blouse, then a coat or blazer must be worn over it. Girls must not wear attires with plunging necklines.
g. No hats or head coverings must be worn, except for religious purposes. A Muslim student may wear a hijab and not show her ears, but her face should be wholly visible for identification. The head covering must not cover the eyebrows and eyes.
