Scholarships and Financial Assistance Programs

Baccalaureate

E. T. YUCHENGCO INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

For incoming students who have remarkably performed well in the Malayan Colleges Laguna Entrance Examination (MCLEE) and have passed the scholarship exam and interview. The scholarship is subject to availability of slots.

Benefits:

        • Free full tuition, L/F/D, and miscellaneous fees
        • Learning materials worth P2, 000 per term

To retain the scholarship: Scholars must carry a load of not less than twelve (12) units and obtain a credit grade average of 1.75 or better at the end of the term.


JOSE RIZAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Jose Rizal Scholarship is awarded to applicants who have the passion for community service and adhere to the core advocacies of the institution.

Qualifications:
1. Must be a Filipino citizen
2. Must be enrolled to an NSTP course
3. Must meet the required score in the MCLEE (as may be set and specified by concerned MCL departments or units)
4. Annual family income (combined income of parents and/or guardians) must not exceed P500, 000.00

Requirements:
1. Application Forms (Form CSCE-027A and Form CSFA-006A)
2. Letter of Intent (addressed to the CSCE Director/NSTP Head)
3. 1.5"x1.5" ID Picture
4. Photocopy of Student Identification Card and latest Certification of Matriculation
5. Photocopy of the latest Income Tax Return (ITR) Certificate of Parents or Guardians
6. If no ITR is available, kindly submit Certification of Non-Filing from BIR or a Certificate of Indigency or Low Income from the LGU.
7. For parents or guardians who are OFWs, a copy of the latest contract with compensation must be provided.

Benefits:
        • 50% tuition fee discount and may avail of the scholarship for a maximum of 2 terms

Important Notes:
1. Requirements should be submitted to the Center for Scholarships and Financial Assistance (CSFA) of the Office for Student Services (OSS) on or before the deadline.
2. CSFA will forward the applications to the Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement (CSCE).
3. CSCE will schedule an interview.
4. CSCE will forward a list of successful applicants to CSFA for verification and for other requirements/procedures as may be required. 5. Successful applicants must render an 8-hour community service per term.
7. 2T or 3T applicants should have at least a TWA of 2.5 from the previous term.


ACADEMIC HONOREE SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship grants are given to applicants who are Valedictorian and Salutatorian in a class of at least 70 Grade 12 completers.

Benefits:
        • Valedictorian – 100% tuition and L/F/D fee discount for three (3) consecutive terms         • Salutatorian – 50% tuition and L/F/D fee discount for three (3) consecutive terms

To retain the scholarship: The students must have no failing grades and no shifting of the original program taken.


ACADEMIC ACHIEVER SCHOLARSHIP

A student must be among the top examinees of the MCLEE from October 2017 until March 2018 only.

Benefits:
        • 25% tuition fee AND L/F/D discount for three (3) consecutive terms.

To retain the scholarship: The student must have no failing grade and no shifting of the original program taken.


MCL ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

The MCL Athletic Scholarship is awarded to qualified candidate selected for their potential to bring prestige, honor, and glory to MCL as sports ambassadors and as role models of excellence and virtue through the following sports: Basketball, Football, and Volleyball.

The applicant must pass the MCLEE and perform well in the tryouts organized and conducted by the sports coaches.

Benefits:
        • 25%-100% discount range on tuition fee, varsity uniform, free meals, and transportation in tournament games

To retain the scholarship: The students must maintain a grade set by MCL.


MCL CUP SCHOLARSHIP

Join one of the biggest events in the region and you may win a scholarship grant for one year at MCL.
Win a title from one of the following events* of the MCL Cup:
        o Be Aware, Be Wise, Be Empowered: Digital Poster Making Contest (top 3 winning teams, with 3 participants per team)
        o Brainmasters (top 3 winning teams, with 3 participants per team)
        o La Vida Local: Gastronomic Challenge (top 3 winning teams, with 3 participants per team)
        o Math Quiz Show (top 3 winning teams, with 3 participants per team)
        o Science Quiz Show (top 3 winning teams, with 3 participants per team)
        o Speak Forth: Impromptu Speech Contest (top 3 winners)

Benefits:
• 1st place – 100% tuition and L/F/D discount for 3 consecutive terms
• 2nd place – 50% tuition and L/F/D discount for 3 consecutive terms
• 3rd place – 25% tuition and L/F/D discount for 3 consecutive terms

To retain the scholarship: The student must have no failing grade and no shifting of the original program taken.


YGC PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNT

Either parent must be a regular employee of any YGC company.
Benefits:
        • 25% discount on tuition and L/F/D fees

SIBLING DISCOUNTS

The sibling discount may be availed by a college student with at least one sibling studying at MCL as well.
Benefits:
        • Younger of two – 10% discount on tuition fee
        • Youngest of three – 25% discount on tuition fee
        • Youngest of four – 40% discount on tuition fee


Senior High School

E. T. YUCHENGCO INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
For incoming students who exceptionally performed well in the Malayan Colleges Laguna-Senior High School Entrance Examination (MSEE) and have passed the scholarship exam and interview. The scholarship is subject to availability of slots.
Benefits:
        • Free full tuition, L/F/D, and miscellaneous fees
        • Learning materials worth P2, 000 per term

To retain the scholarship: Scholars must obtain a credit grade average of 90% or better at the end of the term.


ACADEMIC HONOREE SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship grants are given to applicants who are Rank No. 1 and Rank No. 2 in a school class of at least 70 Grade 10 completers.
Benefits:
        • Rank 1 – 100% tuition and L/F/D fee discount for three (3) consecutive terms
        • Rank 2 – 50% tuition and L/F/D fee discount for three (3) consecutive terms

To retain the scholarship: The students must have no failing grades, no grade lower than 85%, and no shifting of the original track taken.

Note: Grantees are not given the option to pay on an annual payment.


ACADEMIC ACHIEVER SCHOLARSHIP

The applicant must belong to the top 20 performers in the MSEE from October 2017 until March 2018 only. Benefits:
        • 25% tuition fee AND L/F/D discount for three (3) consecutive terms.

To retain the scholarship: The students must have no failing grades, no grade lower than 80%, and no shifting of the original track taken.

Note: Grantees are not given the option to pay on an annual payment.

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
