ABM student crowned as Ambassador of Goodwill

2017 has become the year for pageant winners from Malayan Colleges Laguna (MCL). Adding to this list is Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management student and MCL Senior High School (MCL-SHS) Basketball varsity player Jason Gabrielle M. Terry after his successful finish in the 2nd Ambassador and Ambassadress of Goodwill of City of San Pedro last June 24.... (full story)

IE student appointed as PIIE-CSC Regional Head

Pressured yet positive. That is how the new Regional Head of the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers-CALABARZON Student Chapter (PIIE-CSC) and fourth year Industrial Engineering (IE) student Reginaldo “Reg” N. Cea feels in his recent responsibility. Reg, who was then the organization’s Executive Director/Vice President, was the only one who took on the challenge to run for Presidency since the previous officers already have tight schedules. He still went through the election process, however. Being the second MCL representative to be elected as Regional Head, he considers it his privilege to lead such a huge association. “Wala na rin naman po for me yung position, kasi in the end isang team po kayong magtutulungan para maging successful ang bawat event,” he stressed.... ABM student is Miss Finest Model Philippines 2016

Last December 11, Riza Loren M. Carrillo brought home the Grand Winner title in the Miss Finest Model Philippines 2016, which happened at the Tanghalang Pasigueño, Pasig City. Despite her lack of experience in modeling, the Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) student made it to the top, even with roughly 40 more experienced contenders competing for the title.... HUMSS student wins Mutya ng Dolores 2017

An American golfer named Patty Berg once said that “desire, dedication, determination, concentration, and the will to win” are what make a champion. The same can be applied to Joanna Marie “Jaja” M. Aguila, a Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student, as she vied for the Mutya ng Dolores 2017 crown on April 27, outshining other contenders. Aside from being the Mutya ng Dolores, Jaja also won awards for Ms. Photogenic, Ms. Personality, Best in Swimwear, Best in Production Number, and for earning the Most Hearts on Facebook.... CGC conducts seminar on students with special needs

As part of Malayan Colleges Laguna’s (MCL) Faculty Orientation, college and senior high school (SHS) instructors and professors attended a Center for Guidance and Counseling (CGC)-initiated seminar entitled Sui Generis: Identify & Embrace Students with Autism and Special Needs last June 6, 2017. Even though MCL neither offers special education nor has inclusive facilities to accommodate the needs of all kinds of students, the institute is mindful of the students who need special attention, believing that they deserve the same quality of education....
